A series of three online talks was organised for parents to provide information about creative activities for children. The first talk was given by Professor Eilis Hennessy of UCD School of Psychology. In her talk she spoke about the importance of creativity in children’s development highlighting the pleasure that children get from taking part in creative activities and practicing their developing skills. The second talk was given by Erika Csibi from DLR Libraries. In her talk she highlighted the role of libraries as community spaces that offer a wide range free creative activities for children. Jenny Siung from Chester Beatty Dublin gave the final talk in which she spoke about museums and their role in supporting children’s creativity by providing free spaces to explore new ideas and experiences.

Libraries – Erika Csibi from Dun Laoighre Rathdown Libraries gives a talk entitled ‘Libraries are for you – welcome to your creative community space’. In her talk she talks about libraries as free to access spaces that promote the engagement of children in creative activities.


Museums – Jenny Siung from Chester Beatty Dublin gives a talk entitled ‘Every Museum Tells a Story’. In it she talks about the value of museums as free creative spaces for children and families.
