Professor Eilis Hennessy

Eilis Hennessy is a professor in the School of Psychology, University College Dublin, Ireland. Her research focuses on aspects of child and adolescent development with a specific focus stigma. She is a member of the Group Processes and Social Inclusion research theme within the School. Her current research projects focus on factors influencing parents’ help seeking for adolescent mental health problems and teachers’ evaluations of a school mental health literacy intervention. She previously worked with Dr Farahani to explore the factors associated with the inclusion of
Muslim women and children in Ireland.

Dr Zahra Tayer Farahani

Zahra Farahani completed her PhD in UCD school of psychology in 2019. Her PhD investigated the experience of inclusion of Muslim migrant women and their children in Ireland. Zahra’s research interests are mental health and wellbeing of young people as well as ethnic minorities and their inclusion in society. She also has a specific interest in policies and interventions for promoting mental health and wellbeing of children and young people with a minority background. Zahra currently is a postdoctoral researcher in UCD School of Psychology and the co-investigator of the creative child project.

Liliyana Mbeve, MSc, PGDiP

Liliyana Mbeve has a background in Social and Cultural Psychology. She is a lecturer, researcher and teacher trainer, who worked in different countries and different education settings. She received her first MA in Psychology from the Belarusian State University. Her second MSc in Social in Cultural Psychology is a joint degree that was awarded by several universities. Her research focuses on the effects of social group processes on individual identity formation and well-being, identity changes under the influence and exposure to various cultural contexts, as well as on  cultural integration and prevention of discrimination of minority groups in Ireland.
